ALTIRA'S STATE
of the art equipment and unique decorating capabilities offer an enhancement to the aesthetic appeal of any container. With over 30 years of experience and various proprietary methods of decorating, we are uniquely qualified in the industry. See a description of the most common methods outlined below.
Silk Screen Printing -
An infinite choice of brilliant colors, accurate reproduction, sharp detail and a low initial investment makes this process the most flexible approach to decoration. Artwork changes due to ingredients, formulations or marketing are fast and inexpensive. Our production capability ranges from prototype runs to high production rates in our fully automated presses. These all combine to make silk-screening a time proven solution to your decorating needs.
Hot Stamping - A process similar in all aspects to gold leafing, this process is primarily used to highlight trade names or product recognition. The image is created with high heat and pressure, impressing onto the container a thin metallic film of brilliant gold, dazzling silver, or many other metallic colors. The result is an effect that is impossible to achieve in any other way. The rich
appearance is an exceptional means of distinguishing your product.
Pad Printing -
Printing is possible on virtually all containers without regards to shape or surface finish of the area. This system has the ability to print on recessed areas or convoluted shapes that would be impossible to decorate with any other method. It is also useful for the decoration of textured or rough surfaces.
Pressure Sensitive Labeling - For products that require the use of many colors or photographic four-color process, labeling is the most economical approach. In this process, a pre-printed paper or plastic self-adhesive label is brushed onto the container by means of automatic high-speed machines. This process is only suitable for flat or single curved surfaces. Concave or convex spherical surfaces will cause label wrinkling and can only be decorated through the silk-screen or pad printing method.
Our unique labeling equipment allows for the accurate placement of labels on the container registered to the bottle features or to other decoration, such as Silk Screening or Hot Stamping. This ability makes it possible to combine a full color “spot” label with a one pass silk screen decoration resulting in a high impact presentation at a reasonable cost.
