Our modular mold construction permits us to start with a single cavity (prototype mold), to be expanded later as demand increases without losing the initial investment. Additional cavities are simply added on to the existing mold set. This technology provides us the capacity to service emerging products or companies as well as larger industry leaders.

Our custom built Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM) machines have the capability to process most resins, including HDPE, MDPE, LDPE, PP, PVC and extrusion grade PET. The latter can be used to manufacture heavy weight plastic containers that have the feel and look of glass.

We also have the ability to produce Co-Extrusion containers. This technology provides the customer with an endless array of special colors or the use of Soft Touch to make their bottles unique and grasp the consumer’s attention.

Our Injection Molding services include from low cost prototype single cavities to large cavitation production tools. We can run all common resins as well as the most advanced engineering compounds.

PLASTIC CONTAINER DECORATION

ALTIRA'S STATE of the art equipment and unique decorating capabilities offer an enhancement to the aesthetic appeal of any container. The most common processes available at our facility are:

Silk Screen Printing
An infinite choice of brilliant colors, accurate reproduction, sharp detail and a low initial investment makes this process the most flexible approach to decoration. Artwork changes due to ingredients, formulations or marketing decisions are fast and inexpensive. Our production capability ranges from prototype runs to high production rates on our fully automated presses. These all combine to make silk-screening a time proven solution to your decorating needs.

Pressure Sensitive Labeling
For products that require the use of many colors or photographic four-color process, labeling is the most economical approach. In this process, a pre-printed paper or plastic self-adhesive label is brushed onto the container by means of automatic high-speed machines.

Hot Stamping
A process similar in all aspects to gold leafing, this process is primarily used to highlight trade names or product recognition. The image is created with high heat and pressure, impressing onto the container a thin metallic film of brilliant gold, dazzling silver, or many other metallic colors. The rich appearance is an exceptional means of distinguishing your product.

Pad Printing
This printing process is possible on virtually all containers without regards to shape or surface finish of the area. This system has the ability to print on recessed areas or convoluted shapes that would be impossible to decorate with any other method. It is also useful for the decoration of textured or rough surfaces.
